It will not start, the import looks wrong, a formula stays empty, export stops at 1,000 rows, AI throws an error — and how to describe a problem so we can fix it.

1. It will not startNothing happens when you double-click, it sticks on the splash screen, or it says it failed to start — almost always something on this machine blocking the data engine. Three causes to check, then the logs.
2. The import looks wrongA whole column empty, numbers as text, dates as text, the header row inside the data, blank rows, the wrong row count — find the symptom, get the cause. The full version is in the import chapter; this is the quick lookup.
3. A formula does not compute, or stays emptyA formula column with no values, some rows empty, an obviously wrong result, or nothing changing when the source data does — the order to check things in, from "still computing" to "the keys don't match".
4. The export stopped at 1,000 rowsA free license exports the first 1,000 rows of each table to Excel or CSV. That is the plan boundary, not a fault. Three ways round it — the free full backup, a paid license, or exporting less.
5. AI errorsAI unavailable, an error, an empty answer — check the paywall first, then the key and the endpoint, then your provider's balance and your network, and finally the Credit -1 bug in older builds.
