Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and 上海鑫沃克斯信息科技有限公司, a company registered in Shanghai, China ("we", "us"), covering the TableDI desktop applications — TableDI 2 and the previous app, TableDI 0.0.9 — and this website. By downloading, installing or using either app, you accept them.

1. What a license grants

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use TableDI for your own work, personal or commercial. You own your data; we own the software.

  • A license is for the app it was bought for. A TableDI 2 license unlocks TableDI 2. Licenses bought for TableDI 0.0.9 keep working in 0.0.9; they don't unlock TableDI 2, and a TableDI 2 license doesn't activate 0.0.9.
  • One license activates one machine at a time. You can release it from inside the app (in TableDI 2: Settings → License → Move to another machine) and activate it on another computer whenever you like, as often as you like. Running two machines at the same time needs two licenses.
  • Lifetime licenses include future updates of the app they were bought for, with no renewal and no expiry date. A materially different product under a different name is a different product — TableDI 2 is one, relative to TableDI 0.0.9 — but updates to the app you bought stay included.
  • Monthly and yearly licenses unlock the same features for the month or year you paid for. They are paid once and don't renew by themselves: nothing is charged again unless you buy again. When the period ends, the app keeps working as the free version and your data stays untouched.
  • License checks. TableDI 2 checks an activated license with our license service about every 30 days. If it can't reach us for more than 30 days after the last successful check, it works as the free version until it can, and then restores itself.

2. The free version

The free version is not a trial. It has no time limit and no expiry, and we don't currently plan to introduce one. Its limits are the ones described on the pricing page — principally that the free version of TableDI 2 keeps one saved job that you can rerun every period. Exports are not capped.

3. What you agree not to do

  • Resell, sublicense, rent or publish license keys. Keys found circulating are revoked, including keys that are already activated.
  • Share a single key across an organization instead of buying licenses per machine.
  • Circumvent, patch, or otherwise defeat the licensing and paywall mechanisms.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble TableDI, except where that right can't be excluded by the law that applies to you.
  • Use TableDI to break the law, or to process data you have no right to process.

If a license is revoked for one of these reasons, the paid features stop; your data remains yours and remains openable in the free version.

4. Your data and your AI provider

TableDI stores your work on your own computer. We have no copy of it, no access to it, and no ability to recover it for you — backups are your responsibility. TableDI 2 writes a weekly backup by default; keep a copy of it somewhere other than that computer too.

The AI features call an AI provider that you choose, with an API key that you supply, directly from your machine. Your relationship with that provider — its terms, its prices, its handling of what you send — is between you and them. See the privacy policy for exactly what TableDI 2 sends.

5. Availability

TableDI is desktop software: once installed, it runs on your machine. We do not offer or imply a service level agreement. The supporting web services — this site, the download links, and the license service used for activation and license checks — are provided as-is and may be unavailable from time to time. An activated TableDI 2 license keeps working offline for up to 30 days after its last successful check.

6. Warranty and liability

TableDI is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. We don't warrant that it will be error-free or that it will fit a particular purpose of yours.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising out of or relating to TableDI is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract under the law of your country.

7. Payment and refunds

Prices are shown in USD on the pricing page and charged at checkout; TableDI 2 licenses go on sale soon. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never receive your card details. License keys are delivered immediately on payment and all sales are final — the free version never expires, so you can evaluate TableDI 2 on your own files for as long as you like before buying. 8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. Changes are not retroactive — a lifetime license you already bought keeps the grant it was sold under. If a change materially reduces what your existing license gives you, it doesn't apply to that license.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the courts of Shanghai — except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring the matter locally, which it may.
