Sharing and publishing
How the team edition puts a dashboard or a form in somebody else's hands — a public dashboard link, an invite link, a public form. The permission switches on each, QR codes, refreshing a link, and the view counts afterwards.
Three ways to share
Open a dashboard in view mode and press Share beside the title:

Each offers a copied link and a QR code. Refresh Public Link and Refresh Invite Link invalidate the old one immediately — Refreshing the link will deactivate the previous one.
The three switches on a public dashboard
- Allow Data Editing — whoever holds the link can edit cells in a worksheet component and submit through forms. Turn it on when people on the ground should update a status right on the dashboard.
- Allow Data Downloading — allows a component's data to be downloaded.
- Allow Data Removing — allows rows to be deleted.
All three off is the safe default. Everyone with the link gets whatever is on, so keep sensitive data off public links and use invitations and roles instead.
Public forms
A form view placed on a dashboard can be published on its own: whoever opens the link fills it in and submits, the data lands in the table, and no account is needed. Combined with a unique index you can have repeat submissions from one person keep only the latest.
Publishing and view counts
Sharing is publishing. A dashboard's Analytics counts Total views in the last 30 days, Daily visits and Unique Visitors. Dashboard not published means it has never been shared; No views yet means nobody has opened it.
In the desktop app
The desktop app has no outward-facing server, so a link generated in its share panel only works on that machine. To show somebody a dashboard, use a component's Download PNG, or hand them a .tdbk to import. This is the most practical dividing line between the two editions.
