Is the free version of TableDI time-limited?

No. There is no trial period, no expiry and no account. The free plan is the app with bulk export capped at the first 1,000 rows of a table.

Can I get all my data out of TableDI without paying?

Yes. Desktop settings → Data backup exports everything into one encrypted .tdbk file with no row limit, on the free plan. It opens in TableDI on any computer.

Does the 1,000-row limit apply to importing?

No. Importing is never row-limited on any plan, and neither is anything the app computes — formulas, links between tables, pivots and charts all run on the full table.

Export limits on the free plan, explained

The free plan exports the first 1,000 rows of a sheet. Everything else — importing, calculating, linking tables, charting — has no cap. Here's exactly where the line falls, and the way out that doesn't cost anything.

What's capped

Export → Export Excel and Export CSV on a table return the first 1,000 rows on the free plan. Tables under 1,000 rows export in full and you'll never notice the limit.

What isn't

Importing — no row cap, ever, on any plan. Getting data in is free by design; a tool that limited what you could put in wouldn't be usable at all.
Everything the app computes — formulas, links between tables, pivots, charts, dashboards. The cap is at the exit, not on the work.

Why it's drawn there

We wanted a free version that's genuinely useful rather than a countdown to a nag screen, so the free plan has no time limit, no account, and no ceiling on the actual work. Something has to distinguish paying from not paying, and bulk export is the honest place for it — it's the moment TableDI is doing a job for you rather than showing you your own data.

The line we wouldn't cross is holding data hostage. That's why the full encrypted backup is free: you can always leave with all of it, even if you never pay us.

Getting everything out without paying

Export a .tdbk backup. It's uncapped and it holds every table. The catch is that it only opens in TableDI — it's a way out of the machine, not a way into Excel.

If you need more than 1,000 rows in a .xlsx or .csv, that's the paid license: $99 once, or $49 a year. It also unlocks writing back to databases and APIs, scheduled workflows, the AI plugins, and dashboards beyond the first.

What happens when you hit it

You get the first 1,000 rows and a note saying so, not a broken file and not a silent truncation. If a paid feature is what you're after, the app says which one and links to the pricing page.
